TEWKSBURY – Police Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested and charged a 41-year-old Tewksbury man in connection with a Dec. 26 break-in on Overlook Drive.
DANA SACCA, AGE 41, OF TEWKSBURY, was arrested and charged with:
- Breaking and Entering at Night
- Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,200
On Tuesday, Dec. 26, the Tewksbury Police Department was notified of a breaking and entering at a home on Overlook Drive.
Police determined that the suspects stole a number of valuable items, including jewelry and electronics. The suspects also stole a black Mazda Miata from the driveway.
An ongoing investigation into the incident determined that two suspects gained entry through a ground-level window by removing an air conditioner. Residents were not home.
The suspects were captured in several surveillance videos, which Tewksbury Police shared with the public to generate tips about the crime.
An extensive ongoing investigation, which included the receipt of numerous tips from the public regarding the suspect’s identities and extensive review of surveillance footage, led to the identification of SACCA as a suspect.
SACCA was located at a nearby hotel and taken into custody on Friday, Jan. 19.
An investigation into the break-in remains ongoing, and additional charges against other individuals are possible.
“I cannot commend the Criminal Investigation Division enough for their work on this case. Their relentless effort was the reason we are able to bring some relief to the victims,” Chief Columbus said. “We have more work to do and will not stop until the other person involved is taken into custody.”
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
