Drug Unit

The Narcotics Unit is made up of one Detective Sergeant, three Narcotics Unit Detectives, and one Middlesex Deputy Sheriff, whose primary mission is to identify and investigate street-level narcotics operations.  These operations comprise conducting investigations, street-level interdiction, warrant service, and undercover operations.  In addition to conducting independent investigations, the Narcotics Unit operates jointly with other local, State, and Federal agencies, including the Massachusetts State Police, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, in a collaborative effort to enforce drug laws.
