Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department is investigating an incident of trespassing that partially disrupted the school day at the John F. Ryan Elementary School.
On Thursday afternoon, the administration at the Ryan School notified Tewksbury Police that an unwanted individual was seen in the school parking lot. Police responded, reviewed surveillance footage and identified the individual in question, who is known to police.
At this time, the Tewksbury Police Department has determined that the incident is related to a personal relationship involving a person who had no legitimate reason to be on school grounds. There is no threat to the schools or community.
The incident remains under investigation by the Tewksbury Police Department.
