TEWKSBURY – Police Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested and charged a Marlborough man with unarmed robbery. 

DANIEL SUMMERLIN, AGE 45, OF MARLBOROUGH, was arrested and charged with:

  • Unarmed Robbery

On Tuesday, April 25, at about 12:08 p.m., Tewksbury Police responded to a report of a robbery at the front desk of a hotel on Andover Street. There were no reported injuries and a weapon was not shown. 

A male demanded cash from a clerk, and then escaped in a dark gray Nissan Rogue with a registration plate that was recorded by witnesses.

A subsequent investigation identified SUMMERLIN as the suspect in the robbery.  Tewksbury Police obtained an arrest warrant from Lowell District Court charging SUMMERLIN.

SUMMERLIN was subsequently located in Lowell on Wednesday and arrested.

SUMMERLIN will be arraigned Wednesday in Lowell District Court.

“I am grateful for the quick investigation by our officers and detectives to identify this person before someone else was victimized, as well as the assistance from the Lowell police in locating this individual,” said Chief Columbus.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
