TEWKSBURY – Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested a 65-year-old Andover man on a child enticement charge.

DAVID ESPINOLA, AGE 65, OF ANDOVER, was arrested and charged with:

  • Enticement of a Child Under 16

On Saturday, June 7, the Tewksbury Police Department was contacted by a third party who provided evidence that an individual later identified as ESPINOLA was having sexually explicit conversations with what he believed was a 13-year-old girl, and that ESPINOLA was planning to meet up with the girl in person.

As a result of a subsequent investigation by the Tewksbury Police Department Detective Division, police obtained an arrest warrant for ESPINOLA from Lowell District Court on Thursday, June 12. 

ESPINOLA was located at his Andover apartment later that day and arrested without incident. 

ESPINOLA was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Friday, June 13, where he was released on the condition that he have no unsupervised contact or volunteer work with minors. ESPINOLA is due back in Lowell District Court on July 8. 

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
