TEWKSBURY – Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested two people on drug charges on Tuesday.

HAROLD AGUIRRE-GODOY, AGE 29, OF CHELSEA, was arrested and charged with: 

  • Distribution of a Class B Substance
  • Possession of a Class A Substance (Subsequent Offense)

MARCELL BARAHONA, AGE 23, OF CHELSEA, was arrested and charged with:

  • Distribution of a Class B Substance

On Tuesday, April 23, members of the Tewksbury Police Narcotics Unit observed what they believed was a possible drug transaction in the area of 1795 Andover St.

An involved vehicle was stopped and through an investigation it was determined that an individual had purchased crack cocaine from two men in the vehicle, later identified as AGUIRRE-GODOY and BARAHONA.

AGUIRRE-GODOY and BARAHONA were taken into custody. A subsequent inventory search of the vehicle they were in located approximately $2,200 in cash and a digital scale. 

AGUIRRE-GODOY and BARAHONA were arraigned Wednesday in Lowell District Court. 

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
