TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested and charged a North Andover man following an investigation into multiple motor vehicle break-ins. 

GIANFRANCO GONZALEZ, AGE 23, of NORTH ANDOVER, was arrested and charged with the following:  

  • Larceny of Motor Vehicle (Two Counts) 
  • Breaking and Entering of Vehicle in the Nighttime (12 Counts) 
  • Larceny Over $1,200 
  • Larceny Under $1,200 (Four Counts) 

On March 25, Tewksbury Police responded to Charme Road for a report of a car being stolen. The vehicle was later found, however, multiple personal items –including credit cards — were missing. Police then began to receive more reports of residents whose cars appeared to have been broken into or taken.  

During a preliminary investigation, it was determined that approximately nine cars had been broken into, and items were stolen in the areas of Charme Road and Pupkis Road.  

Through an extensive investigation, Tewksbury Police Detectives identified the suspect, who was determined to be GONZALEZ.

A warrant was issued for GONZALEZ’s arrest. 

GONZALEZ was arrested without incident on Tuesday, Dec. 17.  

GONZALEZ was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
