TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan M. Columbus reports that Tewksbury Police have charged a man with more than 30 offenses in connection with two vehicle break-ins in April.
DAVID IOVANNA, 23, of MALDEN, was charged in the Tewksbury cases with Breaking and Entering a Vehicle During the Daytime and Nighttime with Intent to Commit a Felony, along with multiple counts of Larceny Under $1,200 and Credit Card Fraud under $1,200. He was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Sept. 8.
Tewksbury Police received reports on April 29 and 30 that wallets, cash and payment cards had been stolen from vehicles on Main Street and Apache Way. Some of the stolen cards were later used or presented for purchases at stores in Tewksbury and other communities.
Through an investigation, Tewksbury Police identified the suspect as IOVANNA, who is known to police.
IOVANNA was arrested by Quincy Police on the warrants that Tewksbury Police obtained out of Lowell District Court.
“This arrest was the result of solid investigative work and strong collaboration with our law enforcement partners,” Chief Columbus said.
These are allegations. All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
