TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested and charged two women with drug possession.  

JAMIE LEO, AGE 41 of LOWELL, was arrested and charged with the following: 

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class A Drug 
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Drug 
  • Warrant Violation 

MICHEALA SHREAD, AGE 28 of LOWELL, was arrested and charged with the following: 

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class A Drug 
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Drug 

On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at approximately 10:27 p.m., Tewksbury Police were operating in the area of 95 Main St. when they observed what appeared to be a drug transaction involving a gray 2010 Ford Edge.  

Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop of the Ford Edge and identified the driver as LEO and the passenger as SHREAD

During a preliminary search of the vehicle, officers discovered a white rock-like substance believed to be crack cocaine and a tan powdery substance believed to be fentanyl inside the vehicle. Narcotics were also found on LEO’s person. 

A subsequent investigation determined that LEO also had an active warrant out of Lowell District Court.  

LEO and SHREAD were arrested without incident and are scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Wednesday, Oct. 2. 

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
