TEWKSBURY – Police Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested and charged two men with trafficking Fentanyl. 

FELIX RODRIGUEZ, AGE 40, OF LAWRENCE, was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl (Over 36 Grams)
  • Distribution of a Class A Substance
  • Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws
  • Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute
  • Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle

ENYER SANTANA-FERREIRA, AGE 38, OF LAWRENCE, was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking Fentanyl (Over 36 Grams)
  • Distribution of a Class A Substance
  • Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute
  • Furnishing False ID Information to Law Enforcement

On Monday, Jan. 9, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Tewksbury Police detectives conducting surveillance observed what they believed was a hand-to-hand drug transaction in the parking lot of 95 Main St.

Officers stopped the individuals involved, one of whom was staying at a nearby motel, as well as a car whose occupants had briefly interacted with the motel guest. 

Following an on-scene investigation, the occupants of the car, identified as RODRIGUEZ and SANTANA-FERREIRA, were taken into custody. 

Detectives recovered over 42 grams of Fentanyl and over 12 grams of crack cocaine while taking RODRIGUEZ and SANTANA-FERREIRA into custody, as well as $3,116 in cash.

The other individual involved will be summonsed to court at a later date to face a charge of Possession of a Fentanyl.

RODRIGUEZ and SANTANA-FERREIRA were scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Lowell District Court.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
